Lawsuit For HGTV Joanna And Chip GainesLawsuit For HGTV Joanna And Chip Gaines

Joanna and Chip Gaines are a popular home improvement team on the HGTV show “Fixer Upper”.  They are married and draw in many viewers on HGTV.  The couple opened Magnolia Market at the Silo in Waco, TX.  Visitors from all over shop at the couple’s store.  They sell everything you would need to maintain or decorate your home.

The Magnolia store draws in visitors from all over the country.  The Silos host places to eat, shop and relax.  The lawn games are a hit with young and old.  People feel like they are visiting a time when life was simple and less stressful.  Winter time is even busy as well, as People come to see all the Christmas decorations and take part in the festivities.

The Silos – Joanna and Chip made a gold mine!  They are real people who have not let the overnight fame rush to their heads.  A looming legal battle over a metal gate may taint the couple.  Daron Farmer, managing member of Head Properties, LLC. wanted to create a parking lot and charge people visiting the Silos $10 to park.  The lawsuit claims that the Gains blocked the alley with a gate.

Customers once parked for free on the property that Farmer now wants to charge for parking.  Farmer bought the property and now wants to make money off the Gains success.  The gate is on the Gains property but causes a problem for Farmer to fully use all the alley as a parking lot.

This is a frivolous lawsuit.  It is lawsuits like this that waste the tax payer’s money and court time.  Chip and Joanna placed the gate as a protection to their business.   The Gaines thought the paid parking confused customers.  The spots are that close to the Silos!

The Gains have put their customers best interest first.  Not charging for parking was the right thing to do.  Lawsuit Gaines will use up court time and money.  I know if  Farmer wins it will create confusion among customers.  What are your thoughts?  Share in the comments below!
