Samsung Washing Machine Recall
November 2016: 2.8 million Samsung washing machines sold since early 2011 are being recalled due to an issue where the top of the machine can unexpectedly detach during excessive vibration from heavy loads. There have been over 700 reports of the issue occurring and nine injuries.
Consumers can get a free in home repair, a rebate towards a new unit with free install or a full refund if purchased within the past 30 days. Samsung will be sending out repair kits to all known consumers in the coming weeks. Samsung can be reached at 1-866-264-5636 8am to 10pm EST.
