Samsung Gear S3 – Releases November 18th 2016
Samsung will release the Gear S3 Smartwatch on November 18th 2016 in the U.S. Prices are expected to be around $349 for the WiFi and Bluetooth enabled models. You can begin pre-ordering on November 6th.
The watch will release in two flavors – 1) the “classic” model and 2) the more rugged “frontier” model. These S3 series watches will be the first models to introduce LTE speeds and GPS. They will also support Samsung Pay, using the same technology as the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones.

This version of the watch is larger than its predecessors… Coming it at ~46mm in diameter (or 1.8 inches), the S2 was only ~32mm (or 1.2 inches) in diameter. In comparison, the current Apple watches are ~38mm to ~42mm. The watch runs Samsung’s Tizen operating system. It is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. It can reportedly run under normal use for 3-4 days without charging.
